Important for :
1
What will be the total number of children living together in all four villages?
» Explain it
A
Total number of children staying in all the cities together

= 18% of 16000 + 13% of 13000 + 12% of 12500 + 15% of 14200

= 2880 + 1690 + 1500 + 2130

= 8200

Hence, option A is correct.

2
What is the total number of women residing in the two villages together having the least population?
» Explain it
D
The two villages with minimum population are Badlapur and Chunar

Number of women in Badlapur = 42% of 13000 = 5460

Number of women in Chunar = 42% of 12500 = 5250

∴ Total number of women in this two villages = 5460 + 5250 = 10710

Hence, option D is corrrect.

3
If the rule passed by the government of Maharashtra says that to apply for the government job, the only criteria is the age should be below 50 years. Find the number of men from Dharangaon who cannot apply for the government job, if the number of men in Dharangaon below the age of 50 is exactly double the number of children in the same village?
» Explain it
A
The number of men below the age group of 50 years = 30% of 14200 = 4260

∴ The number of men not qualified for government job = 52% of 14200 – 4260

= 7384 – 4260 = 3124

Hence, option A is correct.

4
Arrange the villages in the ascending order of the total number of women and children living together in the village?

 1 Badlapur 2 Chunar 3 Asangaon 4 Dharangaon

» Explain it
E
Number of women and children in Asangaon = 62% of 16000 = 9920

Number of women and children in Badlapur = 55% of 13000 = 7150

Number of women and children in Chunar = 54% of 12500 = 6750

Number of women and children in Dharangaon = 48% of 14200 = 6816

Hence, option E is correct.

5
In Asangaon among the total number of children, 45% are boys; find the total number of female gender living in the village?
» Explain it
D
Total number of girls in Asangaon = 55% of 18% of 16000 = 1584

Total number of women in Asangaon = 44% of 16000 = 7040

∴The required total = 7040 + 1584 = 8624

Hence option D is correct..
