Who Can Apply? IBPS PO 2025 Eligibility Criteria at a Glance

Candidates are advised to thoroughly check the eligibility criteria before you apply online for IBPS PO 2025 post. If any candidate fails to meet any of these conditions, they will not be allowed to continue with the recruitment process.

There are different eligibility components for the selection, like: Nationality, Age Limit and Educational Qualification

​​​​1. Nationality

To be eligible, a candidate must be:

  • An Indian citizen,
  • A Nepalese or Bhutanese citizen,
  • A Tibetan refugee, arrived in India before 1st January 1962, or
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, or Vietnam to settle permanently in India.

2. Age Limit

Candidates should be in the age bracket mentioned in the official IBPS PO 2025 notification. Age limit details are given below:​​​​​​​

3. Educational Qualification

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. 
  • Documents: Candidates must have their degree certificate or mark sheet at the time of application, clearly stating the percentage of marks. 
  • Computer Literacy: Basic computer knowledge is required
  • Language Proficiency: Candidates are required to know the official language of the state/UT they are applying for, including the ability to read, write, and speak the language.

Documents You’ll Need Before Applying for IBPS PO 2025

Candidates are advised to have these documents ready before starting their application process

  1. Scanned Photograph and signature: Ensure the file size and the dimensions meet the specified requirements.
  2. Handwritten Declaration: Candidates are required to write a declaration in English on a piece of white paper with a black pen and upload a scanned copy of it.
  3. Left thumb impression: A scanned copy of the candidate’s left thumb impression.
  4. Bank details: Bank account details are required for the fee payment.
  5. Education Details: Graduation marksheets will be required to fill out the qualification details.
  6. Valid email ID and Contact number for communication

IBPS PO Handwritten Declaration 2025: Format, Sample & Tips

This declaration has to be written by the candidate on a piece of white paper with a black/blue pen. Make sure all the words are legible and neatly written on the paper.

“I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

All the scanned copies of the candidate’s photograph, signature, and thumb impression have to be in a specified size and dimension. The details of the format are given below:

How to Fill IBPS PO 2025 Application Form – Complete Process

The IBPS PO 2025 application process is starting from 1st July and will go on till 21st July. The application   process will take place on the official website of IBPS, www.ibps.in.

Here is how you can apply for the IBPS PO 2025:

  1. Go to the official website, www.ibps.in.
  2. Find the link on the homepage to access the application portal. It should be labelled as “CRP PO/MT
  3. Click on “Click here for New Registration” to start a new registration.
  4. Enter your basic details to complete your registration process. This will generate a registration ID and password, which will be sent to your email ID and phone number. Take a note of it.
  5. After the registration is completed, fill out the application form and upload the required documents. Detailed information on the required documents is given in the following section.
  6. Review the details you have filled in before submitting the form.
  7. After review, pay the application fee through net banking, UPI, or debit/credit card.
  8. Download your application form and save it along with the payment receipt for future reference.

Common Mistakes to Avoid While Applying for IBPS PO 2025

  • Not going through the notification carefully: It is the first and foremost step to understand the eligibility criteria (age, qualification), exam pattern, syllabus, fees, and instructions.
  • Mismatched / Inaccurate personal details: Enter the details like your name, parents’ names, and address as they are given in your official documents to avoid disqualification.
  • Incorrect uploading of documents: Photos, signatures, and thumb impressions have to be uploaded in the specified format, or the document won’t get uploaded. The specifications are given in the above sections.
  • Waiting for the last day to apply: Applicants should avoid waiting for the last day to submit the form, as it leads to server crashes, and application forms do not get submitted.
  • Not reviewing the application before submitting: After filling out the application, it is important to proofread it thoroughly to avoid errors in spellings, addresses, or email IDs.
  • Incomplete application form: Many applicants miss mandatory fields in the form while filling the form and proceed with the application. Although the portal prompts you to fill those fields, it may disrupt the flow and lead to errors.
  • Not saving the application form: It is important to download and save the application form and the payment receipt after submission.
  • Not saving the login credentials: After registration, the Registration ID and Password are sent to the candidate’s email and contact number, which serve as the login credentials for future. Candidates should save them to avoid any problems while logging in.
  • Refreshing the payment page: After the payment is done, candidates should not refresh the payment page.
  • Panicking if the payment doesn’t get processed: In that case, candidates should close the window and log back in to complete the payment. If the previous payment was deducted but was not successful, it will be refunded within 7 business days.

  1. After successfully submitting the online application, the candidate will receive a confirmation email and SMS on their registered email ID and contact number.
  2. Download the final application PDF for future reference.
  3. Start preparing for the IBPS PO Prelims exam, which is expected to be conducted on 17th, 23rd, and 24th August 2025.
