Given below is the step-by-step guide to apply for the SBI CBO 2026 Exam
Step 1: Visit the official website of SBI, sbi.co.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, in the bottom left corner, find and select the ‘Careers’ option.
Step 3: A new page will open with the URL – https://sbi.co.in/web/careers.
Step 4: In the menu bar, click on ‘JOIN SBI’ and then click on ‘Current Openings’ from the dropdown.
Step 5: Look for the listing titled “Recruitment of Circle Based Officers and click on it.
Step 6: Click on “Apply Online” next to the notification, and you will be redirected to a registration/login page
Step 7: Click on “New Registration” to begin the application process.
Step 8: Complete the registration and click “Save and Next” to proceed.
Step 9: Use the registration ID and password to login and complete the application.
Step 10: Upload your passport-size photograph and signature in the specified format.

- Candidates are required to select and apply for vacancies in only one state. If they apply for any other state, they will be disqualified.
- The application is valid only for the state the candidate selected during filling out the application form, and the merit list will be prepared State-wise and category-wise.
- An appointment will be made within the Circle of the selected State, and candidates will be posted accordingly.
- Once appointed, candidates will not be eligible for intra-circle transfer until they are either promoted to SMGS-IV grade or have completed 12 years of service, whichever comes later.

SBI CBO 2026 Salary Structure with Perks and Allowances
The official SBI CBO 2026 Notification will be published on the website stated that the starting salary for the Circle Based Officers (CBO) falls under the category of Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I) with pay structure: Rs. 48,480–2000/7–62,480–2340/2–67,160–2680/7–85,920.
The initial basic pay will be Rs. 36,000/-, along with one additional increment for each year of prior service in an officer position within a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank.
Along with the basic pay, CBOs are also entitled to benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA)/Lease rental, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), medical coverage, and other admissible perks, as per the prevailing guidelines.

The SBI CBO 2026 Admit Card hasn’t been released yet. The admit cards will be released 10 to 12 days before the exam. After the admit cards are released, candidates can follow these steps to download their admit cards:

- Find the “Admit Card” or “Hall Ticket” section on the homepage.
- Click on the link for the “SBI CBO Hall Ticket 2026.”

SBI CBO 2026 Result
The SBI CBO 2026 Exam is going to be conducted in July (tentatively), and the results will be released after the exam. The State Bank of India will release the roll numbers of the candidates who are shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment. The results will be released on the official website of SBI, where candidates can check their results using their login credentials. No emails or SMS will be sent to the applicants to inform the results or qualification status.

Understanding SBI CBO Posting Locations and Transfer Policy
The SBI Circle Based Officers (CBO) are assigned to work within the same regional circle for which they applied and were recruited for. They have a more restricted transfer policy than the Probationary Officers (PO). Typically, a CBO is not transferred outside their circle until they are promoted to the SMGS-IV grade or complete 12 years of continuous service, whichever is later.
