LIC AAO Syllabus 2026
The LIC AAO syllabus consists of 3 subjects in prelims, i.e., quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, and English, where English is only qualifying in nature; the marks of English are not added in the final prelims score. Only marks of quant and reasoning are counted in the final prelims cutoff.
As per the mains, the LIC AAO Syllabus consists of an Objective Test (300 marks) & Descriptive Test (25 marks). The mains exam covers topics such as reasoning, english language, general awareness, data analysis and interpretation, and insurance and financial market awareness. Each topic is designed to test the candidate's problem-solving ability, language understanding, knowledge of current affairs, or awareness of the financial markets. The descriptive tests evaluate candidates' writing skills.

LIC AAO Exam Pattern 2026
As per the LIC AAO Exam Pattern 2026, the LIC conducts the AAO exam in 3 stages: prelims, mains, and interview. The prelims test is qualifying and does not add to the final score; the marks of the mains exam (only objective marks, descriptive is qualifying in nature) and interview marks are added to make the final merit list.
