SBI PO 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must verify all eligibility conditions before applying. Those who do not meet the criteria will be disqualified at the document verification stage. The SBI PO 2026 eligibility criteria cover educational qualification, age limit, nationality, and number of attempts.
SBI PO Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Central Government. Final-year / final-semester students can apply provisionally, subject to producing proof of graduation by the interview stage. Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) holders must ensure their passing date falls within the notification’s specified window. Candidates with a CA qualification are also eligible.
SBI PO Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age. Only applicants with a date of birth between 2 April 1996 and 1 April 2005 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
Minimum age: 21 years (as of notification release date)

Mains is the decisive phase. Your Mains score (along with Phase III) forms the final merit list. Around 3x the number of vacancies are shortlisted from Mains for the GD/Interview round.

Psychometric Test: Qualifying in nature; used to assess personality traits, behavioural patterns, and suitability for the Probationary Officer role. No marks are awarded.
Group Exercise: A group of 8–10 candidates discuss a given topic. Evaluated on communication, logical argument, active listening, teamwork, and leadership. Carries 20 marks.
Personal Interview: Conducted by a panel of 5+ members. Tests overall personality, confidence, general awareness, and banking knowledge. Formal attire is mandatory. Carries 30 marks.
Final Selection
The scores achieved in the Main Examination (Phase II), including both the Objective and Descriptive Tests, are combined with the scores from Phase III to prepare the final merit list. For the final score calculation, the marks obtained in Phase II (Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase III (Group Exercise & Interview) are normalized to a total of 100 marks as follows:
