In the revised IBPS Calendar 2026, IBPS brought some major updates to the exam cycle. Here are the major updates that every banking aspirant should be aware of:

1. Revised and More Structured Exam Timeline: The IBPS exam schedule gives proper gaps so candidates can easily manage multiple exams without overlap.

2. PSB Exams to Be Conducted Before RRB Exams:- In the last year, IBPS PO, SO, and CSA exams are expected to be held before RRB exams in 2026, so candidates can finish major exams first and manage their preparation accordingly.

3. Improved Gap Between Prelims and Mains:- Continuing the previous trend, IBPS 2026 provides longer and more balanced gaps between Prelims and Mains, mainly for SO and RRB posts, allowing aspirants sufficient time to strengthen their Mains preparation.

4. Live Photo is Mandatory now: As part of the IBPS 2026 requires a Live Photo during registration to make sure your application is real and the process is secure. 

5. Clerk Role Continues as Customer Service Associate (CSA):- In the IBPS 2026 cycle, the Clerk post remains under the name Customer Service Associate (CSA), so aspirants should be familiar with this term during the application and preparation process.

6. Single Registration for both Prelims and Mains: IBPS is continuing to use single registration for both Prelims and Mains exams, eliminating the risk of form-filling errors and simplifying the process.

7. Higher vacancies expected: Although the number of vacancies hasn’t been announced officially, a higher number of vacancies is expected, looking at the previous year's trends. For reference, 2024 had over 3,950 PO openings.
