What’s New in IBPS 2025-26 Calendar
In the revised IBPS Calendar 2025, IBPS brought some major updates to the exam cycle. Here are the major updates that every banking aspirant should be aware of:
1. Reordered Exam sequence: For the first time, the public sector banking exams like IBPS PO, Clerk, SO will be conducted before RRB exams. This gives aspirants more time to focus on the RRB exams.
2. Revised Prelims and Mains dates: There are longer gaps between Prelims and Mains exams for RRB and SO exams, which help aspirants prep and perform better in the Mains
3. Clerk Post Renamed as Customer Service Associate: The post, which was earlier called Clerk, has been renamed as Customer Service Associate (CSA), highlighting the nature of the job, which will be more customer-focused.
4. Live Photo is Mandatory now: The Live Photo feature, which was introduced in the 2024 cycle for exams like IBPS PO, SO, Clerk, and RRB, is now mandatory. The candidates are required to click a live photo using a webcam or phone camera to avoid fraudulent applications and enhance security in the application process.
5. Single Registration for both Prelims and Mains: IBPS is continuing to use single registration for both Prelims and Mains exams, eliminating the risk of form-filling errors and simplifying the process.
6. Higher vacancies expected: Although the number of vacancies hasn’t been announced officially, a higher number of vacancies is expected, looking at the previous year's trends. For reference, 2024 had over 3,950 PO openings.
