Nationality/Citizenship Criteria
To be eligible, a candidate must be:
- An Indian citizen,
- A Nepalese or Bhutanese citizen,
- A Tibetan refugee, arrived in India before 1st January 1962, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, or Vietnam to settle permanently in India.
RRB Group D Age Limit 2025
Candidates should be in the age bracket mentioned in the official RRB Group D 2025 notification. The RRB Group D 2025 Age Limit is 18 to 36 years as of 1st January 2025.

RRB Group D Educational Qualification
- 10th pass or
- ITI or equivalent or
- Course Complete Act Apprentices (CCAAs) in any field
- National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT
- Diploma /Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprentices/ITI for the post of Level-1, unless otherwise specified.
- A Graduate Act apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of a Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA).
- Those awaiting results of their final examination of the prescribed minimum educational/technical qualification SHOULD NOT apply.
RRB Group D Medical Standards
In order to apply for the RRB Group D post, candidates have to meet the medical and physical standards that are decided by the Railway Recruitment Board. The PET evaluates a candidate's physical fitness to perform tasks like lifting weights and running, while the medical examination ensures that the candidate is medically fit to carry out certain duties in the railway industry.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Not Part of Eligibility But Mandatory
- The Physical Efficiency Test is a test that checks the medical fitness of the candidate, according to the RRB Group D Medical Standards, which are decided by the Railway Recruitment Board.
- It is qualifying in nature, but it does not contribute to the final merit list
- The results of the PET round are declared on the same day as the test.
- Candidates are advised to take precautions during this round in order to avoid physical injuries to themselves or other participants, as the Railway Recruitment Board will not take responsibility for any accidents during the process
- Candidates will have only one attempt at this test, and requests for a second chance will not be entertained
- Candidates should meet all the eligibility conditions that have been mentioned in the official notification. If they are found to be ineligible at any point, they will be disqualified.
- Candidates are advised to carry their admit cards and wear suitable clothing and shoes for the test.
Important Documents Required at the Time of Verification
Candidates appearing for the document verification stage of RRB Group D 2025 must carry the following documents in original, along with photocopies:
- Educational Qualification Certificates: Mark sheets and certificates for all academic qualifications, including ITI or its equivalent (if applicable).
- Proof of Date of Birth: Matriculation/High School certificate or a valid birth certificate.
- Category Certificate (if applicable): Valid caste or community certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates issued by a competent authority.
- Photo Identity Proof: A valid government-issued ID such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, etc.
- Admit Card: The RRB Group D admit card that the candidate received before appearing for the CBT
- Photographs and Signature: Passport-size photographs (matching the ones uploaded in the application form) and a clear signature.
- Additional Relevant Documents: Any other certificates mentioned in the RRB Group D notification.
- Bank Account Details: Bank account details may be asked for the processing of salary.
- Name Change Proof (if applicable): Gazette notification or other official documents if you’ve legally changed your name.
- Medical Certificate (if required): Submit a valid medical certificate if specified.
- NCVT/SCVT Certificate: For candidates claiming qualification through NCVT or SCVT, relevant certificates and mark sheets have to be shown.
- Disability Certificate (if applicable): Persons with Disabilities (PWD) must provide a valid PWD certificate.
- NOC (No Objection Certificate): If the candidate is working in any Central/State Government department or PSU, they will have to submit an NOC at the time of verification.
