SSC MTS 2026 Application Fee
- The application fee for SSC MTS 2026, for the General category, is ₹100, and it can be paid through various online modes like Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, or BHIM.
- Candidates from the SC, ST, PWD, and Ex-servicemen categories do not have to pay the application fee. Female candidates are also eligible for the same exemption.
Eligibility Criteria for SSC MTS 2026
To apply for the SSC MTS 2026 exam, Candidates need to qualify depending on their nationality, education, and age. It is important to check all the details carefully before applying.
Nationality:
To be eligible, a candidate must be:
- An Indian citizen,
- A Nepalese or Bhutanese citizen,
- A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1st January 1962, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, or Vietnam to settle permanently in India.
SSC MTS Age Limit

- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)- A candidate must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age.

Educational Qualification
To apply for the SSC MTS 2026 Recruitment, candidates must have passed the Matriculation (i.e., Class 10th) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board, University, or Institution.
However, there is no minimum percentage required in class 10th to apply for these posts.

SSC MTS Havaldar 2026 Selection Process
The SSC MTS and Havaldar Recruitment Process involves two stages. Candidates must qualify for each stage by scoring more than the cut-off marks.
The two main stages are:
- A computer-based test (CBT)
- A Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) for the post of Havaldar.

The post of MTS and Havaldar falls under the Pay Level-1 as per the 7th Pay Commission, with a pay band of ₹5,200–₹20,200 and a Grade Pay of ₹1,800. After all the allowances are deducted, the SSC MTS in-hand salary is between ₹18,000 to ₹22,000 per month. This depends on the post and the job location. Additional benefits like DA, HRA, and TA are also applicable as per government rules.
