Let son will be 4/7 of his father's agen in xx yeras.

Then, 9 + x =  4  (36 + x)

⇒ 63 + 7x = 4 (36 + x)

⇒ 3x = 81 ⇒ x = 27

Hence, the sone will be 4/7th as old as father, after 27 years.

Area of the triangle

 =  | 1  [x1 (y2 – y3) + x2 (y3 – y1) + x3 (y1 – y2)] |

A rectangular sheet of length 24 cm and of width 22 cm is rolled along the length into a right cylinder. What will be the volume of this cylinder? (π = 22/7)

If two fair dice are thrown simultaneously what is the probability that the sum of the number on the top faces is less than 4?

Total number of possible events i.e. (1, 1), (1, 2), (1, 3), (1, 4), (1, 5), (1, 6), (2, 1), (2, 2)... and, so on.

∴ There will be 6 × 6 = 36 possible events.

Number of favourable events {(1, 1), (1, 2) and (2, 1)} = 3
 
So, the reqd. probability =  3  =  1
36 12

Hence, option A is correct.
