Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has recently launched the first phase of the Rs 100-crore Sweet Revolution Scheme under which 1,207 farmers will be given Rs 1 lakh for bee keeping.

"1,207 farmers, after training, will be given Rs 1 lakh for bee keeping. Of the amount, Rs 80,000 is in the form of grant. Farmers can earn Rs 1.30 lakh every year by just investing Rs 20,000," Das said.

The Chief Minister announced that the Pradhanmantri Krishi Samman Yojna will be launched in Ranchi on February 24 under which Rs 2,000 will be deposited in the account of the farmers through direct transfer.

He said that the state government has taken several measures to uplift the farmers income in the state.

Embracing a more automated future for India, Kerala has now launched India’s first ever humanoid cop, becoming the first ever police department in the country to have a robot for police work.

The humanoid robot cop, also known as KP-Bot, was inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The robot was inducted by CM Vijayan with an honorary salute, and it responded back with a salute. It has been appointed to the rank of Sub Inspector.

KP-Bot has been deployed at the front office of the Kerala police Headquarters. Visitors will be greeted by the Robocop and it will even direct you where you want to go.

A report in the Financial Express says that the KP bot has been assigned major duties such as meeting and greeting officers and visitors through facial recognition, and also to guide visitors to the appropriate areas within the office. The robocop will be required to give detailed and accurate information to the visitors on the procedures and the services in the office verbally which will be accompanied by information on the screen. Sub Inspector KP-Bot will also keep track of visitors in order to set up appointments and also to issue visitors’ ID. The Robot will also be responsible for setting up case files on complaint or petition by the visitor.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a new park which houses the replicas of seven wonders of the world at Sarai Kale Khan, on Thursday. The park, which is called the 'Waste to Wonder Park', was built by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC). It is the first-of-its-kind tourist attraction in the world, with the replicas of the Taj Mahal, the Great Pyramid of Giza, Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Christ the Redeemer statue of Rio de Janeiro, Rome's Colosseum, and the Statute of Liberty which were opened for the public at the inauguration.

"The replicas of all seven wonders of world has been built with eco-friendly, self sustainable material, and has its own solar and wind power generation. It is open to all and we are more than happy that the park has been constructed within six months time and now it is a reality in Delhi. This is will also enhance the tourists economy," said Rajnath Singh.

"Since the seven replicas are made of 150 tonnes of scraps of automobile parts and other metal waste like fans, rods, iron sheets, nut- bolts, bicycle and bike parts and age-old appliances, this will give boost to Swach Bharat Mission led by the Prime Minister," said Singh. Lieutenant Governor, Anil Baijal, Mahesh Girri, Lok Sabha (MP) from East Delhi seat and senior officials of SDMC were present on the occasion apart from locals For eight-year-old Riyaan Kaushik, it was his dream come true to see seven wonders of world in Delhi.

Chinese on-demand service platform Meituan-Dianping overthrows Apple as the world’s most innovative company according to a recent ranking of American business magazine Fast Company.

Fast Company published its annual 50 most innovative companies in the world for 2019 on Wednesday. The magazine explained that the rankings are based on the “profound impact on both industry and culture” and “showcases a variety of ways to thrive in today’s volatile world.”

Meituan-Dianping, recognized for its “pioneering transactional super apps”, makes its debut on the list this year and takes the top spot. According to Fast Company, the Tencent-backed tech platform accelerates the booking and delivery of services such as food, hotel stays, and movie tickets. In the first half of 2018, it facilitated 27.7 billion transactions, worth about $33.8 billion, for more than 350 million people in 2,800 different cities.

2. Israel to launch first privately funded moon mission.

A team of Israeli scientists is to launch what will be the first privately funded mission to land on the moon this week, sending a spacecraft to collect data from the lunar surface.

Named Beresheet, the Hebrew word for Genesis, the 585kg (1,290lb) robotic lander will blast off from Florida at 01.45 GMT on Friday, propelled by one of Elon Musk’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets. Once it touches down, in several weeks, it will measure the magnetic field of the moon to help understand how it formed.

Beresheet will also deposit a “time capsule” of digital files the size of coins containing the Bible, children’s drawings, Israel’s national anthem and blue and white flag, as well as memories of a Holocaust survivor.

A small rodent that lived only on a single island off Australia is likely the world's first mammal to become a casualty of climate change, scientists reported in June 2016. The government of Australia has now officially recognized the Bramble Cay melomys (Melomys rubicola) as extinct.

The animal seems to have disappeared from its home in the eastern Torres Strait of the Great Barrier Reef, scientists say. The animal was last seen by a fisherman in 2009, but failed attempts to trap any in late 2014 prompted scientists to say it is likely extinct.

The Chinese Government-controlled Xinhua News Agency announced this week that they were set to roll out their latest AI news presenter, a female-gendered system names Xin Xiaomeng, within a few weeks.

Working in collaboration with Chinese search engine company Soguo to produce Xin, it was stated that Xin Xiaomeng will debut during coverage of the upcoming Two Sessions meetings in March.
