Yogendra Tripathi, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism in the presence of Usha Sharma, DG, ASI launched the Audio Guide facility Audio Odigos for 12 sites of India(including Iconic Sites). An MoU for Gol Gumbad, Delhi with Government of Delhi and Resbird Technologies was also exchanged for the development of Tourism Amenities during the programmeat ParyatanParv New Delhi, yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Tripathi said that this is the 3rd edition of Paryatan Parv and we are getting good response from general public. We are expecting more than 1 lakh footfalls during the weekend, he added. He also said that in the line of vision of Prime Minister we are not using single use plastic in Paryatan Parv arrangements.

While briefing the media, Tripathi said that 26th MoU under the ‘Adopt a Heritage, Apni Dharohar Apni Pehchan’ scheme of Ministry of Tourism has been exchanged for development of tourism amenities. The project aims to develop synergy amongst all stakeholders and involves active participation of local communities / players to promote ‘responsible tourism’.

Among them, some 2,000 children will now have the right to an education and a future with the freedom to travel, marry and work.

Statelessness affects millions of people worldwide, depriving them of legal rights or basic services and leaving them politically and economically marginalized, discriminated against and particularly vulnerable to exploitation and abuse.

Croatia has unveiled the bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Zagreb to commemorate the leader's 150th birth anniversary.

Indian Ambassador Arindam Bagchi was present to commemorate the occasion along with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.

"Following the visit of Indian President @rashtrapatibhvn earlier this year, discovering Mahatma Gandhi's visit to Zagreb, with his message of tolerance and peace, is a strong signal of friendship," the Prime Minister wrote on his official Twitter page.

2. Bank of Baroda signs MoU with Indian Army for customised services.

Bank of Baroda (BoB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Army, under which the bank will offer customised services, along with a host of facilities to account holders.

The MoU includes free personal accident insurance cover, free air accident insurance cover of ?15 lakh to ?50 lakh, and an overdraft facility up to three times of the monthly net salary, the public sector bank said in a statement.

Consequently, the reverse repo rate under liquidity adjustment facility stands reduced to 4.9 per cent, and the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the bank rate to 5.4 per cent. The six-member monetary policy committee (MPC) headed by Governor Shaktikanta Das also decided to maintain the accommodative stance of monetary policy.
