The research arm of Indian Railways, Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO) is organizing a special Mega Vendor Meet at RDSO in a significant move to show-case greater business opportunities in Railway sector in Lucknow on 30th August, 2019. Industries from across the country are invited for this vendor meet to encourage their participation in Indian Railways supply chain development.  No participation fee for attending the meet has been kept to ensure wider participation. In line with Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ programme, RDSO through such meets and other endeavors continues to reach out to Indian industry and encourage them to be the active partners in nation building.
 
In the meet, special focus will be on those RDSO controlled items which have less than three (3) RDSO approved vendors. This list has been put on RDSO website  w w w . r d s o . i n d i a n r a i l w a y s . g o v . i n  .

During the meet, RDSO shall make presentation about “Enhancement for ease of doing business”. The meet shall make available a platform for direct one-to-one interaction and discussions of Industry with RDSO. Live display of selected RDSO items shall be kept at the meeting venue.

Rupee Co-op. Bank Ltd., Pune has been granted extension for its banking license by the RBI till November 30, 2019.

"The Board of Administrators of Rupee Bank is trying to safeguard the interests of its depositors since last three years. RBI has taken a positive note of these efforts and transparent as well as satisfactory performance of the Board of Administrators," a release form the bank said.

The RBI Inspection and the Statutory Audit for the FY 2018-19 is completed. "There are no adverse remarks in both the reports. The Bank has paid Rs.338.20 crores to 85462 needy depositors under hardship scheme of RBI. The Bank is having deposit of Rs.1291.00 crores," the release mentioned.

The MSC Bank has undertaken Due Diligence of the Bank for its Merger/Take Over. The Due Diligence Report is submitted to MSC Bank for their perusal. Rupee Bank & MSC Bank are going to submit joint proposal for merger to Reseve Bank of India. The Administrative Board is following up with the State Government & MSC Bank.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said it was ready to commit over $12 billion in lending to India over the next three years (2020-22), pledging support to the Narendra Modi-led government’s new flagship initiatives such as the Jal Jeevan Mission.

State-run oil refiner Indian Oil Corporation Ltd will set up a 1 Giga Watt (GW) plant to make batteries used for running electric vehicles (EVs) in partnership with an overseas start-up using a non-lithium ion raw material that is locally available, Chairman Sanjiv Singh said on Wednesday.

The move fits well with the government’s strategy to facilitate the adoption of EVs in the country’s energy basket, and cut the fuel import bill. It also supports a key element of the EVs industry — batteries and their recharge.
