Staff Selection Commission has announced 25,000+ vacancies for the post of General Duty Constable. Candidates from all around the country appear for this exam every year, to secure the position of a constable in the paramilitary forces. SSC GD Apply Online 2026: Important Dates

The SSC GD Notification was released on 1st December. A total of 25,487 vacancies has been released for the SSC GD post. Candidates have the window of a month to fill the form and it will close on 31st December. The important dates and details are mentioned in the table given below:

SSC GD Application Fee Details

Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay Rs. 100/- after filling out the application. Female candidates, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from application fee. The application fee can be paid either online, via Debit Card, Credit Card and Net Banking or can be paid offline, via Challan.

SSC GD Constable 2026 Application Process

For SSC GD Apply Online, candidates must follow the steps given below:

1. Visit the official SSC website https://ssc.gov.in/

2. On the homepage, find and click "Apply" button.

3. Register by entering these details: your name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number.

4. After registration, log in to your account using your Registration ID and password (your login credentials are emailed to your registered email ID).

5. Find the “SSC GD 2026” link and click on “Apply

6. Enter your details like name, category, gender, nationality, educational details etc.

7. Choose your preferred exam centre from the list

Upload your photograph and signature. Please make sure the Photograph and the signature you are uploading are within the specified file size range and dimensions.

8. Review the details you have filled in before submitting the form.

9. After review, pay the application fee through net banking, UPI, or debit/credit card.

10. Download your application form and save it along with the payment receipt for future reference.

Required Documents for SSC GD Online Application

Before starting to fill out the application form, candidates are advised to keep the essential documents ready to be able to enter the details without any problems. These are the required documents:

1. Email ID (to be verified through OTP)

2. Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)

3. Aadhar Card/Voter ID/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/School ID/College ID/Employer ID

4. Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing of the 10th Examination

5. Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with a benchmark disability

 

SSC GD 2026 Application Correction Window

SSC allows the candidates to make changes in the submitted application forms, in case they have filled out wrong information. The SSC GD Application Correction Window starts from 8th January and closes on 10th January. For every change the candidate makes, they will have to pay a fee. There are two changes allowed, with Rs 200 being the charge of first rectification and Rs 500 being the charge of the second rectification.

Candidates must follow these steps to make the correction:

Go to the official website ssc.gov.in.

Using your login credentials (registration number and password), log in to your account.

Find the "Re-Apply" or "Application Correction" link under the SSC GD Constable section and click on it.

Make the required edits or changes to your form.

Pay the applicable correction fee online (Rs 200 for the first correction and Rs 500 for the second correction)

Submit the application with updated details and download for future reference.
